Investing in over a decade of on demand application delivery research and technologies, Arthur Hitomi, a scientist at the University of California Irvine and Founder of Endeavors Technologies, developed the technology alongside peers specializing in and creating Internet technologies such as HTTP, WebDAV, Peer to Peer and other Web environments. Over 4 million US dollars was invested at the University, alongside another 25 million US dollars of commercial product development. The fruition of that work is Application Jukebox, a solution that combines several technologies, Application Streaming, Application Virtualization, and DRM to deliver a solution for the Cloud. The technology has the broadest patent portfolio in the space, with 7 patents granted, and over 25 more pending.
