What is Application Streaming?

What is Application Streaming?

Application streaming is an alternative to installing applications locally on individual PC’s

As an alternative to completely installing a Windows®-based program on a PC, the application is streamed from a central server where only the parts of the application required by the user are installed for immediate use. As additional functionality is required by the user these portions of the application is streamed on demand. When the user has finished with the application, and chooses to do so, all components are completely removed from the client, as if the application was never there

Reducing Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)

Through the adoption of application streaming technology, IT departments can run more efficiently by reducing the time, resource and cost of deploying, upgrading and supporting applications. End users no longer lose productivity while waiting for the deployment of new applications, upgrades and patches

Applications Available Anywhere, to Anyone, at Any Time

Application streaming allows all applications to be instantly available to any user, anywhere in the world. Users on-demand requests for delivering and updating applications will become a distant memory. Whether the user is on their own machine or that of a colleagues, applications are available for immediate use. IT administrators simply manage user groups to determine which set of applications are available to each
